Humaniora 2010 – Energi og Olje

Every summer the highschool credit kids, the videregående, participate in a culturally based class called humaniora. This summer, the theme for humaniora is energi and olje. We started the summer off by asking five questions about oil: Where can we find oil? How do we get oil? What is the history of oil in Norway? What is made with oil? and What are the problems with oil?

To answer these questions, the videregående tried to correctly place oil rigs on a map, drilled for oil from the balcony of Gimle, put together a timeline, brainstormed, and learned about pollution and waste.

Today we took a deeper look at how olje has had an impact on Norway by using resources from the Norsk Oljemuseum.
